The LED light is made from smooth black plastic on the sides with a thick, textured, and opaque dome covering the LEDs. It's reasonably heavy, though not extremely so, and feels pretty well built, though that black plastic would likely get scuffed up if it fell or was handled too roughly. The remote had a battery already installed, despite the manual saying it required 2 AAA batteries (not included, it said), so that was a nice surprise. There is also an included type-c charging cable, and two buttons on the light that can manually control it, even without the remote, though at a much limited color range and functionality compared to using the remote. This LED light does need to be mounted on a wall, preferable one you can reach, as it will have to be removed and charged up periodically. The light it produces is extremely bright and vivid, with 3 different whites to choose from (neutral, cool, and warm) as well as 3 primary colors when controlled manually with the buttons on the base (red, green, and blue). You can make a huge array of colors using the buttons on the remote, as well as cycle through all of the colors one after another automatically. The remote also has the ability to brighten or dim the lights, adjust the motion/time sensors, and even utilize a sleep timer.Unfortunately this remove interferes with another LED bulb I have in my room, so I am constantly having to battle each light. Press red on this remote and the LED light will turn red, but my LED bulb will turn purple. xD The same happens when I try to just control my bulb, that remote will turn on this LED light, and even my mini split! It's a rather annoying situation, but not the product's fault, just something to keep in mind if you have an LED bulb or light strip in the area already.Overall I am very pleased with this product! The light is super bright and colorful, it has a great set of features, including motion sensing, day/night sensors, manual operation, and a sleep timer. I don't have much use for most of those features and have operated this light exclusively in the 'always on' mode, but it's always nice to have options and I could definitely see other people utilizing them more. I have only had the light for about a day and a half, so it's difficult to comment on the battery life, but so far it has not started to dim at all despite me playing with it so much, so that's a good sign! All in all it seems like a great light at a reasonable price. There are a few downsides, I don't love that you have to screw this light into the wall, (it's just not the best option for renters), but at least it is easy to detach and charge up the light once it has been mounted. I really hate how the remote control interferes with with other appliances in my room, and the instruction manual could definitely be improved, (not only did it cite the wrong kind of batteries for the remote, but it also has rather vague labels like the 'CCT' button. I'm still not sure what this stands for, but when pressed, it cycles though the 3 different white colors on the LED) but overall I would recommended!
